Open cell foam is full of cells that aren’t completely encapsulated. In other words, the cells are deliberatly left open. This makes the foam a softer, more flexable material.
Benefits:
- Expands significantly after application, making it effective at insulating areas that are challenging to reach with closed cell foam.
- Excellent for soundproofing, with the ability to completely fill the space between studs in a single application.
- More affordable than closed cell foam.
